Impact Communications partnered with DeVore Technologies, Inc. as part of a multi-phase project to completely redesign and rebuild the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission’s website.
In the first phase of the project, Impact was responsible for site design, content organization, navigation structure and writing. By researching industry standards on responsive design as well as what peers in the travel industry are presenting on their websites, the site was given a fresh, contemporary look.
Due to the nature of constantly changing travel conditions, travel alerts and construction on the Ohio Turnpike, it was imperative that users of the site be able to easily find up-to-date information. As a result of this, DeVore and Impact developed the site with an easy-to-use content management system that allows the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission administrative team to effortlessly make frequent updates and perform maintenance on the site.
The Ohio Turnpike stretches across the state of Ohio, spanning 241 miles. It has been in service for over 50 years and was completed on October 1st, 1955. To date, it has been used by nearly 50 million vehicles.
