Impact Communications partnered with the Bureau of Land Management’s Campbell Creek Science Center in Anchorage, Alaska to develop Get Energized, an interactive multimedia energy and environmental education program.
Because of the increased importance of energy awareness and environmental education, Impact was contracted to create similar, state-specific programs for the BLM in New Mexico, California, Wyoming, and Colorado.
Through this interpretive program, visitors examine energy resources, consumption, conservation, and new technologies that will affect our future. Highly interactive games and exercises that encourage critical thinking combine with opportunities for leisurely video viewing in a program that appeals to a variety of learning styles and age levels.
Get Energized received an ‘Interactive Multimedia’ award from the National Association of Interpreters (NAI).
The Campbell Creek Science Center is Alaska’s premier outdoor recreation and science education center, located on 760 acres east of Anchorage. It provides interpretive programs on nature and the environment and supports the Bureau of Land Management’s mission to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of federal public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.
