Signet Jewelers’ History Wall

Multimedia exhibit featured at a corporate headquarters

To educate employees and visitors about the company’s history

The Project

Impact was asked to create a multimedia exhibit that features the history of Signet Jewelers. The exhibit is prominently featured in the newly renovated entrance at the company’s headquarters in Akron, Ohio. The goal is to prominently position Signet’s mission statement – Celebrate Life, Express Love – so that employees and guests see it upon entering the building. An identical exhibit was also designed for Signet’s Dallas office.

Client

Signet Jewelers Limited is the world's largest retailer of diamond jewelry, operating over 2,900 stores.

Audience

Visitors to Signet Support Centers in Akron and Dallas plus team members working at these facilities.

Our Process

From concept to completion, Impact handled every step in the content production process. Impact conducted extensive research to document the company’s 150+ year history. We designed interpretive displays and crafted copy for hundreds of artifacts. We also created a multimedia program with updatable components so Signet can add to their company’s history as time progresses. Images featured in the exhibit include footage and stills of company founders and leaders, graphic and animated treatments, visuals of merchandise through the years plus lifestyle videography.

Impact also partnered with exhibit fabricators to execute the concepts we collaboratively conceived. Both iterations of the history wall feature vertical graphic panels and a six-monitor video wall. A glass display case houses historic company artifacts. Also included in the exhibit is the “Watch Wall,” a museum-quality display of hundreds of rare watches and timepieces, dating back from the 1600s to the 20th century.
