Virtual Graduation Ceremony:The Wolcott School
Impact created and delivered a rite of passage
New technology that respected a time-honored tradition
The Project
While commencement ceremonies across the country were being canceled due to the pandemic, Impact provided a virtual solution to honor The Wolcott School’s Class of 2020. Capping off the event was the traditional rite of passage, the tassel flip, symbolizing the student’s passage onto higher learning. The Wolcott School is an exemplary college preparatory high school for students with learning differences, tailored to the strengths and aspirations of each student.

Our Process
Impact provided guidance to the faculty and students to obtain the best quality photos and videos to be incorporated into the program. Impact also customized the platform to deliver the streaming presentation. Impact produced a dynamic and interactive graduation webcast that featured live presentations from school faculty and administrators, celebratory videos honoring each of the 41 graduates and live social media shout-outs, allowing family and friends to send their student a congratulatory message in real time. The video component was made available to attendees as a keepsake.
